Target group

Anyone who needs a standard test in accordance with EN ISO 14732 or would like to deepen their knowledge in the area of further training.

Training content

Our wide range of training courses imparts practically applicable knowledge and places particular emphasis on explaining the process in an understandable way and focusing on practical application. It also includes improving efficiency, profitability, quality awareness and overcoming challenges.

Our training courses are mainly aimed at welders who already have basic knowledge of TIG welding.

The contents of the teaching program include:

  • Materials science and quality management
  • the independent writing of welding procedure specifications and their use
  • Production of weld seams with optimum seam geometry
  • the processing of tungsten electrodes and the different types of electrodes
  • Types of welding and forming gases

Course duration

4 course days with exam
or requalification examination 5 UE

STUD WELDING – DRAWN ARC IGNITION

Stud welding refers to the joining of pin-shaped parts (studs) to flat workpieces by applying a pressing force using an electric arc. The joining zones are joined in a liquid state, without the use of additional material.

How does stud welding work?

In stud welding, an arc is struck between the face of the stud and the surface of the workpiece. The two joining partners are heated to melting temperature and then joined together under slight pressure. The entire stud welding process usually takes no longer than one second.

The training process for stud welding / drawn arc welding training depends on the trainee’s level of experience

Training content

Our wide range of courses aims to impart applicable and practical knowledge and to explain the process as clearly as possible. The focus of the course is on the practical application of the process, as well as on increasing productivity, efficiency, quality awareness and overcoming challenges. Theoretical content is not neglected.

The teaching program mainly comprises the following contents:

  • Advantages of stud welding
  • Process and areas of application
  • The most important quality standards
  • Quality assurance
  • Materials and surface
  • Bolt variants
  • Ceramic ring and shielding gas
  • Welding parameters
  • Magnetic blowing effect

Course duration

One-day training course with examination

✔ After successful completion of the test, an operator certificate is issued in accordance with EN ISO 14732.
